ICYMI: Coach Grill Hopes to Reopen in June After Fire Repairs
The popular Wayland restaurant has been closed since an electrical fire broke out in the kitchen last month.
Wayland's Coach Grill was damaged in an electrical fire last month and it looks like it won't reopen until at least June. Here's the full story, in case you missed it.Â
WAYLAND, MA - Wayland's Coach Grill was forced to shut its doors after an April 16 kitchen fire but hopes to reopen in June, the restaurant said in a statement.
The Boston Post Road restaurant suffered close to $1 million in damages, fire officials said at the time of the incident. The restaurant did not disclose what the final cost of repairs will be.

"We appreciate your understanding as we've taken time to evaluate the damage and develop a plan for reconstruction. We are hopeful that with the current plan we will reopen in June," Coach Grill said in the statement.
Investigations determined the fire was accidental in nature and was likely caused by wiring in the wall behind the refrigerator, officials said.

The restaurant was closed at the time of the fire, which occurred just before dinner service . Some employees were inside of the building but no injuries occurred, officials said.
"Thank you to the local Wayland community for your continued support during this time. We look forward to serving you again soon," the restaurant said in the statement.
