Last Week to See 'Death of a Salesman' at the Vokes Theatre

The Vokes Players puts on the classic in their final performances of the award-winning play this week.

WAYLAND, MA—Hinging on the mental deterioration and tragic tale of Willy Loman, Arthur Miller's classic "Death of a Salesman" is forever a favorite on stage. The play, which premiered on Broadway in 1949, has returned to Broadway four times.

But this week, it's in Wayland, and the final performances of its run are taking place this week.

Performances of Death of a Salesman are being held at Beatrice Herford’s Vokes Theatre, Route 20 in Wayland, through Aug. 6 Thursday-Saturday evenings at 8 p.m. with a 2 p.m. matinee on Saturdays.

Read more about the historyof the Vokes theatre, traced back to Beatrice Herford in 1904. In 1937, a small group in Wayland known as the Vokes Players, revived the theatre, which still thrives today.
