Laura Altman, Longtime Wayland Resident, Passes Away at 89

Laura M. (Resnick) Altman, 89, entered into rest on Thursday, July 16, 2015.

She was born in Plymouth on August 16, 1925 the daughter of the late Benjamin R. Resnick and Ruth (Romanow) Resnick.

Laura was the wife of the late Alfred Wolfe Altman who died on January 27, 2004.

She was the beloved and loving mother of Philip Altman of Framingham; Judith Altman of Brookline and Holly Altman of Tucson, AZ. Also survived by 6 nephews.

She has been a longtime resident of Wayland and also resided in Framingham for several years. She was the first female student to graduate with a BS in Physiology from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst with the Class of 1946. For over 25 years, Laura was a Real Estate Broker in the local area.

Private family services will be held at Sharon Memorial Park at their convenience.

Visitations will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 from 2-4 pm at Traditions of Wayland, 10 Green Way, Wayland.
