Mailing Mistake In Wayland Over May Shredding Event
If you got a notice about a May shredding event ... throw it in the shredder.
WAYLAND, MA — If you got a flier from the town announcing a shredding event coming up this spring, well, throw it in the shredder.
A mailer advertising a May town-wide shredding event was mistakenly placed in tax bills sent out in Wayland recently. The mailer was for a shredding event that took place in 2020.
On Tuesday, the Wayland Department of Public Works announced that it will not, in fact, be hosting a shredding event in May.

However, Wayland will be holding a hazardous waste day this spring. The event will be held on April 24 at the Wayland Department of Public Works site at 66 River Road, and preregistration for the event will come at the beginning of April, according to the town.
