WAYLAND, MA - The Northeastern Nor’easters will be blowing into town to perform at the Spring College A Cappella concert at Wayland High School on Saturday, March 19 at 7:30 p.m. -- the night before spring officially begins.

Northeastern University’s premier co-ed a cappella group, the Nor’easters, were named champions of the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella in 2013 and have performed for the president and first lady at White House Christmas Gala. They were also the featured group on PopTV's docu-series,"Sing It On," this past year and have performed with John Legend on The View.

Each year, the College A Cappella concerts are a musical highlight of Wayland life. Alongside the Nor’easters, the Brick City Singers from RIT and the Brown’sTones from Brown will also be performing. Wayland High School’s own talented a cappella groups – the Muses, T-Tones and Madrigals – will round out the evening’s entertainment.

A cappella music features fresh arrangements of both classic and contemporary songs performed by unaccompanied singers, though vocalists sometimes emulate instruments. Having experienced a huge surge in popularity in recent years, a cappella attracts the most talented singers on college campuses nationwide.
