Memorial Day In Wayland: What You Need To Know

WAYLAND, MA — Monday, May 27, is Memorial Day, and the city has several events scheduled. Wayland's Memorial Day Parade will form at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 27, 2019, at the Wayland Middle School, 201 Main Street. The parade steps off at 11:00 a.m. and will proceed along Route 27 to Route 30 to the Lakeview Cemetery in Cochituate.
Cemetery ceremonies will be held before the parade starting with the Veterans Memorial Town Building, then North Cemetery, Biet Olam West, South Cemetery, Lokerville Green WWII Memorial and St. Zepherins Cemetery.
The parade will include a Gettysburg address reading by Wayland High School students, patriotic music and words from keynote speaker, LTC Brayan Martin Garrison, Commander, US Army Solider Systems Center.
