Monday Essentials: Tax Bills, Kids Concert, Food Pantry, Weed Pulling

Weed Pulling on the River

OARS is seeking volunteers to help pull invasive weeds from the Sudbury, Concord and Assabet rivers. Teams will be out on the water Tuesday, July 30 from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. Register at office@oars3rivers.org or call 978-369-3956. A limited number of seats on boats are available, but volunteers are invited to bring their own votes and life jackets. There will be a need for people helping on shore as well. 

Kids Concert

The Wayland Children and Parents Association is hosting a concert on the Weston Town Green Wednesday, July 31 at 7 p.m. Bring a picnic, blankets, lawn chairs etc. and listen as The Tom Nutile Big Band plays the night away.

'More Than Honey' Screening

Wayland's BEElieve group and Transition Wayland will screen the documentary, "More Than Honey" Wednesday, July 31 at 6:30 p.m. at the Wayland Public Library.

August Food Pantry Schedule

The Parmenter Food Pantry will be open on Aug. 1 from 9 a.m.-11:30 a.m. The pantry is open one day per month for distributions, but accepts donations and volunteers throughout the month. More information is available on the Parmenter Food Pantry website.

Tax Bills

Don't forget, your first quarter FY2014 property tax payments are due Aug. 1.
