Photos: Wayland Eagle Scout Project Refreshes Gardens At School

Over the weekend, Wayland Scouts replaced garden boxes at Wayland Middle School with help from Lynch Landscape & Tree Service.

WAYLAND, MA — A group of Wayland Boy Scouts volunteered on Saturday to rebuild large planter boxes at Wayland Middle School with help from a local landscaping company.

Wayland High School freshman Carson Boyer, a member of Troop 1847, mounted the project to earn his Eagle Scout rank. Boyer got a boost from more than a dozen volunteers and Lynch Landscape & Tree Service, which donated the materials to build the new planter boxes.

The middle school's garden club uses the planter boxes to grow food, which gets donated to the My Brother's Table food pantry in Framingham. Lynch Landscape owner Michael Lynch donated the materials through his charity, For The Love Of K Gardens, which encourages locals to grow food at home.
