A warrant has been issued for the arrest of an 18-year-old in connection to the Feb. 18 theft in Wayland of two Lamborghini SUVs.

WAYLAND, MA — Police in Malden have released new details about one of the men who police say helped steal two $200,000 Lamborghini Urus SUVs from a Wayland dealership early Tuesday morning.

According to Malden police, a warrant has been issued for Christian Virgile, 18, of Lynn, for receiving a stolen car, leaving the scene of an injury accident, and operating a car without a license.

The Lamborghinis were stolen around 3 a.m. Tuesday from the Herb Chambers dealership along Route 20. The thieves used a rock to break through a glass window at the dealership. Once inside, they were able to steal car keys.

The theft triggered a security alarm, but by the time Wayland police arrived, the thieves had driven off. Wayland police were able to stop a Chevrolet Cruze that was with the SUVs. Two juveniles in that car were arrested.

Around 8 a.m., the luxury super cars were involved in a crash in Malden near Pearl and Charles streets. Elijah McKinney, 18, was arrested at the scene and appeared in court in Cambridge on Tuesday. Virgile and another suspect escaped, Malden police said.
