Resident Honorary Producer in Documentary About Elephant Suffering
Amy Shroff is working to save temple festival Asian Indian elephants

WAYLAND, MA - A Wayland resident is on a mission to to end the suffering of Asian elephants and other animals.
Veterinarian, activist, biologist and writer Amy Shroff is the honorary associate producer of a documentary about the suffering of temple festival Asian Indian elephants in the southern state of Kerala India, Wicked Local reported.
Shroff has also done volunteer work in Asia to help save these tortured elephants and other animals.

The crew hopes “Gods in Shackles” will help educate the Indian government about this heartbreaking issue, Wicked Local reported.
The documentary will be screened in Cambridge on June 5 before hitting Boston, L.A. and seven cities in southern India.
