Stay Out of Dudley Pond on Thursday

The pond will be treated for the growth of the invasive Eurasian Water Milfoil.

WAYLAND, MA - The Wayland Water Quality Committee warned residents that Dudley Pond is off limits on Thursday, April 21.

The pond will be treated with SONAR herbicide to control the growth of the invasive Eurasian Water Milfoil, an aquatic plant.

All boats must be out of the water during the treatment and swimming is prohibited until Friday, April 22.

The committee also warned residents not to use the pond's water for drinking or for watering plants until warning signs have been removed from the area.
