Wayland Businesses Keep Tobacco Out of Minors' Hands

Fourteen Wayland businesses passed a tobacco law compliance check.

WAYLAND, MA - Wayland police conducted a regular compliance check of local businesses that sell tobacco products on Tuesday and were pleased by the results, Wicked Local reported.

Police sent a "spy" who was under the age of 21 into the businesses to attempt to buy tobacco without showing identification, Wicked Local reported.

All 14 businesses that were targeted in the compliance check asked for age identification from the minor, Wicked Local reported.

This is the second consecutive time that Wayland businesses have passed the test across the board, according to Wicked Local.
