Wayland Coronavirus Relief Fund Seeks Donations
Wayland's COVID-19 Relief Fund helps local vulnerable people access food and other staples.
WAYLAND, MA — Wayland's coronavirus relief fund is asking for donations to help with food outreach to vulnerable residents.
The town-sponsored food pantry and COVID-19 relief fund were created last April to help vulnerable and home bound residents get food during the pandemic. Since then, the fund has helped an average of 17 local families per week access food, according to town officials.
Residents who need help provide the town with a list of groceries and supplies. Volunteers then shop in the food pantry and deliver the items to people in need. The town buys supplies from Stop & Shop and Donelan's.
