Wayland Firefighters Santa's Ride Comes To Town This Weekend
For the 57th year, Wayland firefighters will drive Santa around for three nights.
WAYLAND, MA — In case you hadn't heard, Santa Claus is immune to coronavirus, and that means he'll be making his usual rounds this holiday season.
That means the Wayland Firefighters Association's 57th annual Santa's Ride is moving ahead as planned. For three consecutive nights starting Sunday, local firefighters will shuttle St. Nick around parts of town to say hello to kids (and adults).
There will be a few changes this year to keep everyone safe. Santa will be staying in his sleigh and waving to residents. The fire department is also asking residents to avoid grouping together to watch, and to wear masks during the event.

The fire department is also still accepting letters from children to Santa. There's a mailbox with a direct line to the North Pole outside the fire headquarters along Millbrook Road
The Wayland Firefighters Association has shared a map of each night's route. Santa will begin each ride at 5 p.m. at the fire headquarters.
