WAYLAND, MA — Wayland's the W Gallery is seeking submissions from local artists for an upcoming exhibit focused on spring and the emergence from a hard year marked by COVID-19.

Submissions to the exhibit "Renewal" will be judged by a jury of Arts Wayland members. Works chosen for the exhibit will be eligible for cash prizes, according to the gallery.

"After more than a year of coping with the pandemic and intermittent shut-ins, we are beginning to reach out to friends and family and to resume some of our daily activities with greater protection and safety, as vaccines become available and the number of COVID-19 cases declines," the gallery said in a statement. "As spring flowers begin to blossom and the weather beckons us outdoors again, our emotional, creative, and spiritual energies can be renewed as well."
