Wayland Library Now Fully Open
Except for the meeting room, the Wayland Free Public Library is the most open it's been since the pandemic began.
WAYLAND, MA — As of Thursday, the Wayland Free Public Library essentially returned to its pre-pandemic state.
The upstairs, downstairs and children's area were all open. The library is on its usual summer schedule, however: Monday to Thursday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Saturday 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The only thing that's not open yet at the library is the meeting room. Here's what is going on at the Wayland library this week:

Where Are My Holds?
That depends: if you want to continue picking them up curbside, simply schedule a time through
the email link or call us, as you’ve been doing (same-day reservations have been discontinued).
Otherwise, we’ve restored the holds to their usual corner by the stairs when you come up to the
main floor. Once you find your hold, you can check it out yourself or we’d be happy to do it for
you. Mystery solved!
Your Stories: COVID-19 in Wayland
Facts and figures will be recorded, but our personal stories will give future historians and
Wayland citizens a better sense of what life was like during the pandemic. We’ve created a short
survey for you to record your thoughts and experiences. Look for the blog post on our home
page, as well as under the “About Us” menu. If you have photographs, documents, artwork,
videos, etc. please email them to mwright@minlib.net.
