Wayland Little League Opens Season With Parade, Picnic
This kick-off is for the whole community. Crack the bats!
WAYLAND, MA–Few things say spring more than the kick off to the baseball season.
The official kick-off for Wayland Little League takes place on May 5 with a parade and a picnic, and all are welcome.
The annual event for the family includes a softball and baseball players parade with their teams, which starts from the Middle School at 10:30 a.m., and ends at Cochituate Fields.

At the field, watch the first pitch and the Maxine Gordon award presentation for contributions to the league. The event also includes a picnic.
The free event is open to all, and also features an inflatable obstacle course, speed pitch, deejay, face painting, pizza and more.
