Wayland Police Seek Man In Child Luring Incident

A man asked a young girl if she wanted to get into his car, according to police.

WAYLAND, MA — Wayland police are asking for help from the public to identify a man who tried to lure a child into his car this week.

According to police, the man stopped his car along Rice Road and asked a young girl if she wanted to get inside. The girl ran to her friend's home and the man drove away, Wayland police said.

The man was driving a black sedan. Police said he is white with black hair, dark eyes, bushy eyebrows and may be between 30 and 40.
