Wayland Treasure Hunt Will Support Local Schools
The Wayland Public Schools Foundation is hosting its first treasure hunt. Teams can sign up for the event through March 17.
WAYLAND, MA — Wayland is pretty far from the Caribbean, but there's a treasure chest out there waiting to be plundered.
The Wayland Public Schools Foundation (WPSF) in March will hold its first treasure hunt fundraiser. During the event, local teams will scour Wayland for clues leading to a real prize-filled treasure chest.
"Participating teams will receive a series of clues presented in the form of a riddle providing information leading to the location of the key to the Treasure. The riddles will contain and/or describe numbers, history, patterns, math, descriptions, synonyms, landmarks and more," according to the WPSF.

The WPSF is putting on the treasure hunt with support from the Wayland Police Association, Wayland Historical Society and Wayland Dads. The foundation raises money throughout the year, which is used to fund grant requests from Wayland school teachers and staff.
Registration for the event is on now with a March 17 deadline. Anyone is welcome to join the hunt, even pirates from other local towns. The actual hunt will take place between March 19 and 20.
