Here are some ideas:
Wayland:
- Summer "Walk on Water" event - This event actually begins in Framingham but ends at the Route 20 boat ramp in Wayland. Former Wayland teacher Pat Conaway will lead this leisurely canoe and kayak paddle down the Sudbury River. Meet at 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 27.
- "The Merchant of Venice" - Head to Vokes Theater for a production of Shakespeare's "The Merchant of Venice." There are Friday and Saturday 8 p.m. shows as well as a Saturday matinee.
- "Blood Brothers," "Almost Maine," "Shrek the Musical," "How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying" - There are an abundance of shows this weekend at Regis College. Showtimes vary and are numerous throughout Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Click the links to each title for details.
- Fun with Butterflies & Dragonflies - The Broadmoor Wildlife Sanctuary is hosting two butterly and dragonfly programs Saturday, July 27: One for families with children 5 and up (1 p.m.-2:15 p.m.) and the other for adults only (2:30 p.m.-4 p.m.). - Crons Goal Games - This free activity for kids grades kindergarten through 6th includes a 14-challenge course designed to help kids approach their goals with the right attitude to achieve them. The event takes place Sunday, July 28 from noon to 3 p.m. at Framingham State University and is free. Register at www.crons.com under the 'Boston' Goal Games.
