Wayland-Weston Thanksgiving Football Game Rescheduled

Forecasts of bitterly cold temperatures and biting winds prompted school officials to move the game.

WAYLAND, MA — The Wayland and Weston Thanksgiving football game has been rescheduled due to extreme weather forecasts, the school said. The game is now scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 21 at 6 p.m.

The National Weather Service issued a flood warning lasting through Thursday.

Besides the flood warning, low temperatures and high winds on Thursday are the cause behind the delay. This Thanksgiving is expected to be one of the coldest ever in parts of Massachusetts, with a high temperature of 20 degrees.
