Screening of "Race to Nowhere"

The Buzz: The Happy Hollow PTO hosts a public screening of the film "Race to Nowhere," followed by a discussion of the film with Principal Jim Lee.

Beginnings School's March Open House
When/Where: Sunday, March 10, 10 a.m., Beginnings School, 210 South Ave., Weston
The Buzz: Chat with the school's teachers and staff, tour the facility, and meet the Dr. Donna Housman, Beginnings School founder.

Viva Guatemala!
When/Where: Saturday, March 9, 1 p.m., Mango Tree Artisans, 410 Boston Post Road, Sudbury
The Buzz: A celebration of things Guatemalan is being held. Author Laurie Levinger will read from her book "What War?" at 2 p.m. Also available, Guatemalan crafts, photos, Prenda art wear jackets, and beaded jewelry with proceeds going to a school in Guatemala.

Drama Festival Semifinals at Acton-Boxborough High
When/Where: Saturday, March 9, 12:30 p.m., Acton-Boxborough Regional High School, 36 Charter Road, Acton
The Buzz: Acton-Boxborough is host to the semifinal round of the 2013 High School Drama Festival, taking place over three weekends in March. Fourteen schools will advance to the Finals in Boston, March 21-23. At 12:30 pm, A-B performs The Filmmaker's Mystery.

Hastings Family Fun Fair
When/Where: Saturday, March 9, 11 a.m., Maria Hastings School, 7 Crosby Road, Lexington 
The Buzz: Activities will include a life-size Candy Land game, Plinko, obstacle course relay, crafts, face-painting and prizes for kids of all ages. And, to tie-in with Lexington’s 300th Anniversary celebration, the fair will also include colonial games and crafts and a visit from the Lexington Minutemen.

Friends of Minute Man NP Lecture Series
When/Where: Sunday, March 10, 3 p.m., 15 Bedford Road, Lincoln
The Buzz: J.L. Bell will discuss the challenges that General Washington faced gathering intelligence on the British Military in Boston. This talk reveals the secrets and names the names from Washington's spy ring.
