The Grosse Pointe Symphony Orchestra Is Starting The Season

The gala concert is set for Oct. 21.

GROSSE POINTE, MI — The Grosse Pointe Symphony Orchestra opens it's 2018-2019 concert season with a gala concert on Oct. 21.

The program includes favorites from Grieg, Rimsky-Korsakov, Meyerbeer, Elgar and features the winds in the Dvorak Serenade for winds.

The concert starts at 3 p.m. with a pre-concert talk by Charles Greenwell at 2 p.m. The concert will be at Our Lady Star of the Sea church at 467 Fairford Grosse Pointe Woods.

Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for Seniors. K-12 are free. Tickets can be purchased on line at www.gpsymphony.org and at the door.
