Grosse Pointe Remembers Connolly Boys Who Died In House Fire
A GoFundMe account raised $30,000 in the first three hours for the family of two boys who died in a house fire in Grosse Pointe Monday.

GROSSE POINTE, MI — The Grosse Pointe community is mourning the loss of two young brothers who died in a house fire Monday morning.
Nine-year-old Logan Connolly and 11-year-old Walter B. Connolly were students at Richard Elementary School in Grosse Pointe Farms and young hockey players. They played in St. Clair Shores and the Grosse Pointe hockey programs and now the hockey community has come together to remember them.
Across the neighborhood hockey sticks are being set outside homes as tribute to the boys. Locals are using the hashtag #SticksOutForLoganAndBriggs to come together on social media.

There is also a prayer vigil planned at St. Paul Catholic Church in Grosse Pointe at 6 p.m. Wednesday. Hockey players attending are asked to wear a jersey in solidarity.

As many of you may know, a member of our St. Clair Shores Hockey family experienced a tremendous loss this morning due to a house fire in Grosse Pointe.
Please join the St. Clair Shores Hockey Association for a prayer service for the children, parents, family, friends, and neighborhood as we mourn this tragic loss. Everyone is welcome to come together so we can pray for the family during this difficult time.
Hockey players are asked to wear their jerseys as a sign of solidarity and support for the family.

The boys were home from school for a delayed start Monday when they became trapped inside their home during a fire. It is still unclear how the fire started.
