Metro Car Driver Robbed At Gunpoint In Grosse Pointe

A Metro Car Driver was pistol whipped by a man who stole his wallet and demanded his keys the day after Thanksgiving.

GROSSE POINTE PARK — A Metro Car driver was robbed at gunpoint on Nov. 27 while waiting outside a customer’s house in the 1300 block of Kensington in Grosse Pointe Park.

Police said a man described as black, about 25 years old, 5-feet-9-inches or taller and about 220 pounds, came up to the driver in the parked car and demanded his wallet and the keys. It happened around 6 a.m. the morning after Thanksgiving, police said.

According to the report, the driver handed over his wallet but did not give the keys to the suspect. The suspect reportedly pistol whipped the man and then fled on foot.
