Police Release Sketch in Attempted Grosse Pointe Child Abduction

Police say this man tried to grab a 13-year-old in Grosse Pointe Woods this week, chasing after him.

GROSSE POINTE WOODS, MI — Police have released a sketch of the man wanted in connection to the attempted child abduction that happened in Grosse Pointe Woods Wednesday evening.

According to reports, a driver in a black Cadillac Escalade cut off a 13-year-old child who was riding his bike home around the area of Roslyn and Marter roads. The man reportedly jumped out and grabbed the boy by the arm, but he was able to escape. The main tried to run after him, but could not catch him, police explained.

The suspect is described as a white, heavy set man around 30-40 years old, wearing an orange baseball hat, navy blue shirt, jeans and black shoes. He was clean shaven, according to police.
