Bethel University senior Gabriel Hymer from Apple Valley, Minn., placed first in the pole vault in his last Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) competition. Hymer came close to his Bethel University record of 15'7'', clearing 15' 5". Due to the winning performances of their athletes, the Royals placed fifth as a team in the meet hosted by Concordia College in Moorhead, Minn.
