Eastview's Brian Taintor Receives Scholarship From University of North Dakota

Brian Taintor of Apple Valley, Minn., received the Laverne Noyes Scholarship from the University of North Dakota for the 2012-2013 academic year. Taintor, son of Tom and Cindy Taintor, graduated from Eastview High School and plans to attend UND in the fall. The Laverne Noyes Scholarship is awarded to deserving students who are direct blood descendants of a World War I veteran. Academic ability and financial need are also prerequisites. The scholarship was established by Laverne Noyes to show his gratitude to the veterans and to “keep alive in others the spirit of unselfish, patriotic devotion.”
