Approved Ordinance Could Bring Wineries To Rosemount

A farm-based winery is looking to build on a 4.5-acre lot in Rosemount.

ROSEMOUNT, MN — Rosemount Advisory Planning Commission approved a series of ordinance amendments Tuesday that would make wineries a conditional use in certain parks within the city, Sun Thisweek reported.

The ordinance amendments that passed Tuesday involved updating zoning to allow wineries to open in business parks, the report said.

At a May meeting, Senior Planner Kyle Klatt mentioned a farm-based winery looking to build on a 4.5-acre lot in Rosemount, off of Biscayne Avenue and between two farms, according to the report.
