Community Breakfast: How Faith & Science Fit Together

Join us for a breakfast conversation about science and faith on Saturday, March 16 from 9:00 to 11:00 am.

Join us for a breakfast conversation about science and faith on Saturday, March 16 from 9:00 to 11:00 am. Presenter Dr. Andy Root is an author, professor, and international speaker at youth gatherings, colleges, and conferences. His most recent focus has been helping Christians understand the puzzling relationship between Christian faith and modern science.

Root shows how science overstates its claims on truth, while faith often understates its own claims. Both faith and science are important to help each of us frame our understanding of life as we experience it. Root paints a compelling picture of how faith can flourish, even in our scientific age.

The community breakfast costs $10, and includes a full breakfast buffet. Root’s books will be given away that morning as door prizes. For more information or to register for the breakfast or childcare, visit our website at sotv.org/events or call 952.432.6351. The registration deadline is March 9. Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church is located at 12650 Johnny Cake Ridge Road in Apple Valley.
