Construction On County Highway 42 Begins Monday

Construction is expected to last until October.

ROSEMOUNT, MN— Construction on County Road 42 began Monday, Dakota County said.

The city of Rosemount, partnered with the county, will install a traffic signal with overhead lighting at the intersection of County Road 42 and Akron Avenue, the county said.

The project will also widen a portion of Akron Avenue south of County Road 42 to align Akron Avenue to align it with its counterpart north of County Road 42, the county said.

There will also be median changes along County Road 42, east of Akron Avenue, which will allow for 3/4 turns at entrances of Dakota County Technical College, the county said.

Construction in this area is scheduled to be finished around October of this year, the county said.
