EPA Finds Violations At Rosemount Smelting Plant
The EPA found that Spectro Alloys was emitting too many toxins.

ROSEMOUNT, MN— A smelting plant in Rosemount must install new equipment after the the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency found violations related to air pollution dating back to 2019, The Star Tribune reported.
Residents living near Spectro Alloys Corp. complained for years about the smell of chlorine, a metallic taste, a blue-green haze and not being able to be outside due to the air, the publication reported.
Representatives from Spectro Alloys said they were doing nothing wrong, but the EPA found that the company was emitting too many toxins into the air, the publication reported.
