Farmington Man Charged In Shooting That Left 1 Injured

The suspect is accused of shooting a man in a drug deal that turned into a robbery.

FARMINGTON, MN— A Farmington man was charged in connection with a nonfatal shooting that occurred Friday, the Dakota County Attorney's Office announced.

Gage Allen David Anderson, 18, of Farmington was charged with one count of attempted murder in the first degree while committing a felony, the office said.

Officials said that a male juvenile was arrested in the shooting and will appear in juvenile court on Tuesday. He was not identified because of his age.

They saw the second man stagger and fall. He had a gunshot wound to the back of his head, police said. The man was hospitalized and was able to speak with police, telling them that the first man, later identified as Anderson, and a juvenile tried to rob him during a drug deal, police said.

The first man and the juvenile had asked the second man to get more money for the drug deal, police said.

The police arrested Anderson and the juvenile, who had a gun, police said.

“We are thankful the victim was not killed and that no other individuals were injured in
this incident. We wish the victim a full recovery from this shooting,” acting County Attorney Kathryn M. Keena said.
