Flood Warning Issued For Hennepin, Dakota Counties
Fooding is in the forecast thanks to ongoing snowmelt in Minnesota. Do not drive cars through flooded areas.

TWIN CITIES, MN — Snow continues to melt rapidly this week as temperatures in Minnesota rocket into the 70s. The National Weather Service has subsequently issued flood warnings for a number of rivers in the state:
- Minnesota River at Mankato affecting Blue Earth and Nicollet counties
- Minnesota River near Jordan affecting Carver and Scott Counties
- Minnesota River at Savage affecting Dakota, Hennepin and Scott counties
- South Fork Crow River below Mayer affecting Carver County
At 10 a.m. Monday the Minnesota River at Savage was at 699.7 feet. The river will reach "flood stage" at 702 feet. The river is expected to rise above flood stage by Thursday morning and continue to rise through at least next Monday.
Officials will monitor the developing situation and issue follow-up alerts as conditions and forecasts change.
