Officers were initially called Tuesday morning after Weeks, who the caller said had a gun, was accused of banging on the outside the caller's apartment, police said.
Weeks ran away when police arrived and when he returned was covered in blood, saying that he shot himself, police said.
As officials treated his wound, Weeks told them, "I just killed my best friend," police said. Weeks then told officers the location of the shooting and identified the victim as Henry, saying he shot her seven times, police said.
