Here's Where To Pick Strawberries In Dakota County

DAKOTA COUNTY, MN — Late spring and early summer is prime for strawberries-who doesn't love strawberries on a nice summer day?

For those who prefer to pick their berries instead of picking them up at local grocery stores, here are some strawberry picking farms in Dakota County:

• Wyatt's Strawberries and Asparagus-10370 180th St E Hastings, MN 55033: This farm offers strawberry picking from 7 a.m. to Noon for $2.75 per lb. Pre-picked strawberries are also available for $5.00 per qt. The farm only accepts cash or check.
• Afton Apple Orchard-14421 So. 90th St., Hastings, MN 55033: Afton Apple Orchard is open seven days a week, 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Strawberry picking will be open until mid-July or until picked-out. Pre-picked strawberries are also available to order for $5/lb. Picking your own strawberries costs $2.90/lb.
• Lorence's Berry Farm-28625 Foliage Ave, Northfield MN 55057: This farm offers strawberry picking for $2.75/lb. beginning at 6 a.m. and going until the farm is picked-out for the day. Pre-picked strawberries are also available to purchase. The farm only accepts cash or check.
