MN Dept. Of Health Files Lawsuit Against Lakeville Bar
Minnesota health officials say the bar has operated without a liquor license.
The Minnesota Department of Health Friday filed a lawsuit against Alibi Drinkery in Lakeville, with the department saying the bar operated as a food and beverage service without a license. The suit follows several regulatory actions taken by the state, which says the bar has continued to flaunt coronavirus restrictions since December.
On Jan. 1, the Department of Safety announced that Alibi Drinkery faced a five-year liquor license revocation "for ongoing and blatant violations " of Gov. Tim Walz' coronavirus executive order, which banned indoor dining until Jan. 10.
"We do not take enforcement actions lightly," said Assistant Commissioner Dan Huff in a statement Friday.
