Severe weather threatened, but in the end, it was the boys' lacrosse team who provided the only damage in Rosemount on Tuesday night.

Rosemount dominated the early going in Tuesday night’s marquee match-up against visiting Eastview, but the Lighting found a way to strike back late to edge the Irish 8-7 under blustery skies at

Ryan McNamara, Erik Gage and Shane Kenealey each tallied two goals to pace a balanced Eastview attack and keep the No. 3-ranked Lightning undefeated on the season at 7-0.

Matt Weller paced the Irish with three goals and two assists while Carter Yepsen also added a pair of goals for Rosemount. The No. 6-ranked Irish are now 5-2 on the season.

Rosemount next plays at on Thursday before a date with No. 1-ranked Eagan next week.
