ROSEMOUNT, MN— An author from Rosemount was awarded Picture Book of the Year for his book "The World We Choose," Sun Thisweek reported.
Kevin Kunkel was given the award by Reader Views, a book review company in Texas, Sun Thisweek reported.
Kunkel recently released a promotional video of people from around the world reading his book, paired with music written by Lakeville native John Hilsen, Sun Thisweek reported.

“I’m extremely proud of the accomplishment. The book is about seeing the good all around us and believing in hope,” Kunkel said in a news release. “This award will help me share that message with more children and parents.”
