Rosemount City-Wide Cleanup Scheduled for May 18
Get rid of batteries, computers, TVs and other difficult-to-dispose-of items at the city's annual cleanup day. For Rosemount residents only.

Editor's Note: The following is a press release from the city of Rosemount.
A citywide clean-up day will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2013 from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at the Dakota County Technical College at 1300 145th Street East (Co. Road 42). This year the event will take place in the east parking lot instead of the west parking lot as it had been in the past. Participants can enter the site off of Audrey Avenue just south of the new college baseball field.
New this year will be the participation of the Salvation Army at the cleanup event. The Salvation Army will have staff on site to accept donations of still usable items including clothing, household goods, kitchen items, still working electronic devices, and other miscellaneous items. The Salvation Army will provide tax receipts for any items donated at the event.

This cleanup event is intended to allow participants the opportunity to dispose of items not suitable for donation or not accepted by the Salvation Army. Rosemount will be working with J.R.’s Advanced Recyclers for collection and disposal of electronic equipment and appliances. Anyone dropping off these items will pay J.R.’s directly. Therefore, participants who wish to dispose of electronics, fluorescent light bulbs, and appliances, along with other items for which we charge should be prepared to pay J.R.’s Advanced Recyclers and the City of Rosemount separately.
The price of disposal for some items is listed below. For a more complete list of electronic equipment and the disposal fee for each item please see the link below. Please contact the City’s Solid Waste Coordinator at (651) 322-6005 with any questions. Please note: Only cash and checks are accepted.
