Rosemount Irish Lacrosse Boys Prep Team to Play for State Title

The championship game will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Orono High School.

The Rosemount Lacrosse Boys Prep (9/10) Team will play for the state championship title against Maple Grove on Saturday, June 9, in Orono.

The Irish’s journey to the state title game began with an undefeated, 12-0, reg. season record. The Irish earned the #2 seed in the MBSLA Playoffs and defeated #15 Edina, 15-1, in the opening playoff game on May 21.

In the quarter-final round, Rosemount defeated #10 Eden Prairie, 11-5, on May 31, and in the semi-final game on June 6, the Irish faced-off against #3 Prior Lake Navy and defeated the Lakers, 8-4.

Maple Grove is the #13 seeded team in the MBSLA playoffs and defeated #4 Prior Lake Gold, #12 Andover and then upset #1 Eastview on their trek to the state title game.

Saturday’s MBSLA state title game will be played at 2:00 PM at Orono High School.
