Rosemount Ranked No. 15 In Safest Cities In MN: SafeWise

ROSEMOUNT, MN— Rosemount was recently named in a study conducted by SafeWise, an online safety and security resource, of the safest cities in Minnesota.

20 cities total were named the "Safest Cities in Minnesota in 2021," with Rosemount ranking #15.

Here is the full list of the 20 safest cities in Minnesota:

The statistics are gathered using crime data from the FBI from 2019 using the FBI Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) program, SafeWise said. The site also only reports on cities above the state's median population in order to reduce the number of potential outliers, it said.

A large factor in this list is the number of violent crimes and property crimes per 1,000 people. Rosemount had 0.8 violent crimes and 5.8 property crimes per 1,000 people so far in 2021.
