Shepherd of the Valley Welcomes Guest Preacher, Angela Khabeb

Pastor Khabeb will be bringing the good news during February's Black History Month.

Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church is excited to welcome guest preacher, Rev. Angela Khabeb, on Saturday, February 10, and Sunday, February 11, at all worship services (except Breaking Bread Dinner & Worship on Sunday at 5:00 pm). Pastor Khabeb will be bringing the good news during February’s Black History Month.

Pastor Khabeb is a Lutheran pastor who serves at Ascension Church in Waukesha, WI. A Bridges Scholar, Pastor Khabeb completed seminary at the Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago, where she won the James Kenneth Echols Prize for Excellence in Preaching. In 2000, she was the first African American ELCA missionary to Namibia, Africa. Her preaching was one of the highlights of the 2017 Triennial Gathering for the Women of the ELCA, providing inspiration to thousands of Lutheran women gathered from across the nation.
