5 Things to Talk About at Workplace Water Coolers

1.) Well, folks, it may storm today. The sun is out this morning, but this afternoon and evening Eagan could see isolated thunderstorms.

2.) Former governor Rudolph G. "Rudy" Perpich was born on this day in 1928. He served as Minnesota's governor from 1976 to 1979, and 1983 to 1991. He sent National Guard troops to Austin in hopes of easing tensions when the Austin Hormel strike was going on in 1986. He also made it so Minnesota residents could again drink at age 21. He died Nov. 21, 1995.

3.) Free puppet shows are going on in Eagan. Today at 10 a.m. a show happens at Trapp Farm Park, 841 Wilderness Run Road. Call (651) 675-5511 for updated information.

4.) The city is taking to add three life-size bronze statues to Eagan's Central Park. It is taking donations today from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
