Hello, I’m Eagan FunFest Ambassador Reece and this is my first blog. Becoming an ambassador since our coronation on July 7th has been one of the best experiences I’ve had in my entire life. Today I would like to talk about my first month.
One of my favorite things I’ve done so far as an Ambassador was the National Night Out event. We each had our own station. Some of the jobs included handing out drinks, running an inflatable obstacle course, and even monitoring the bouncy house! Because my job was to hand out plates at the beginning of the food line, I got the chance to meet all the people that came. Meeting and greeting all the people at the night-out was certainly unforgettable.
At our most recent event “Can-Do-Canines”, Kari, Avery, and I all had the chance to see the wonderful facility that trains, and provides service dogs, to people that need them. We got to meet great people, and equally as great, dogs. They showed a heartwarming presentation followed by a chance to see the “Doggy Dorms”, training apartment, kitchen, and even the training room(s)! Dogs trained here go to people with physical disabilities, those who suffer from seizures and diabetes. They even help people with Autism. I truly enjoyed the fun we had at “Can-Do-Canines”.

One of the most memorable parades I’ve had so far was at the Shakopee Derby Days parade. Even though the heat was killing me I still had a blast meeting other royalty, waving on the parade route, and seeing my family wave back! The other Ambassadors Kari, Avery, Payton, Hanna, and Mia even sang “Happy Birthday” to me during the parade. They have been some of the nicest and, kindest people I’ve ever met and I can’t wait for the rest of the year. Reece Peters signing off.
