Bagging groceries, Parade and Coronation

Hi! This is Hanna Olson, one of your 2014-2015 Eagan Funfest Ambassadors. We ambassadors have been very busy these past couple of weeks. You may have seen us at bagging groceries at the new Cub Foods in Eagan. This was our first fundraising event as Ambassadors. I thought it was so cool to have the opportunity to help out with groceries and at the same time raise money for Eagan Funfest. I thank all who donated. Just this past weekend, we participated in the Burnsville Fire Muster parade. This parade was different for us because instead of riding on the back of the tow truck or in convertibles, we rode in the back of two pickup trucks. Payton, Mia and I had lots of fun listening to music and waving to all the people on the parade route. The weather was amazing, which, I think we were all grateful for.

Just an hour or two after the parade, all of the Eagan Ambassadors drove over to the Inver Grove Heights Royalty Coronation. Mia and I really enjoyed trying to predict who would be crowned, even though I wasn’t very good at it. We saw six wonderful girls being crowned as Inver Grove Heights queens and princesses. Congrats! Afterwards, all of the Ambassadors helped to cheer up the candidates who weren’t chosen as royalty. I could really relate to how they were feeling because I had to try twice before having the honor to be selected as an Eagan Funfest Ambassador. I was proud to share my story with them.
