Blotter: Hotel Guest Finds Note Reading: 'Help me, I'm Being Kidnapped'

In a separate incident, a neighbor exposed himself to a woman walking her dog.

A hotel guest stumbled across a worrying note from an apparent kidnapping victim, according to recent Eagan police reports.

At 7:39 a.m. on May 8, police responded to a suspicious person call at a hotel on the 1900 block of Rahnclif Ct. in Eagan.

A hotel guest found a heavy plastic object with writing on it, which read: "Help me, I'm being kidnapped, I'm 14 years old and my name is Timmy Tortikos." Police took a report on the incident.

11:46 a.m.—Police responded to a fire call on the 1300 block of Corporate Center Curve. Emergency responders found a 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe on fire in a parking lot at the business. The owner could not be located, and the vehicle was towed.

2:48 p.m.—Police responded to a threats/stalking call on the 1500 block of Thomas Lake Pointe Rd.

5:32 p.m.—Police responded to a child protection call on the 1300 block of High Site Dr. The caller, a property manager, told police a two-year-old child was found wandering around on the first floor of an apartment complex. Police were eventually able to locate the father, who had fallen asleep in an apartment.

11 p.m.—Police responded to a medical call on the 1600 block of Hickory Hill Dr. The caller told police her husband had overdosed on medications and alcohol, had punched several holes in a wall, threatened to drown himself, then fled into the woods behind his home. Police and paramedics eventually found the man and transported him to a hospital.

May 7

7:11 a.m.—Police responded to a suspicious person call on the 500 block of Rolling Hills Pl. The caller told police she found a pile of intestines and blood in her front yard. She thought it was from an animal, and didn't believe that anyone was harassing her, but wanted the incident documented.

11:23 a.m.—Police responded to a shoplifting call at the Target on Cliff Lake Road. The caller told police a known shoplifter, Scott Thomas Hodge, was in the store taking items. Police arrested him and jailed him on suspicion of stealing $2,700 in stolen items. Click here for more on this incident.

3:58 p.m.—Police responded to a damage to property call. The caller told police that her neighbor had piped water into her house by putting a hose through an open window.

5:47 a.m.—Police responded to a fire call on the 3900 block of Cedarview Dr. The caller, a construction worker, told emergency responders a machine he was driving had rolled and had crushed his lower legs. The victim, who was screaming in pain during the emergency call, was eventually rescued by fellow construction workers and emergency responders, who used another construction vehicle to lift the rolled equipment off the man's legs. He was transported to a hospital.

6:24 p.m.—Police responded to a weapons call on the 4100 block of Country View Dr. The caller told police a neighbor was shooting at geese and ducks in the pond with a pellet gun. Police spoke with the suspect, who admitted to the action and promised not to shoot at the birds anymore.

May 8

8:28 a.m.—Police responded to a disturbing the peace call on the 3200 block of Evergreen Dr. The caller told police her neighbor began yelling and swearing—and even exposed himself to her—while the victim was out walking his dog that morning. Police cited the man for disorderly conduct.

9:26 p.m.—Police responded to a suspicious person call on the 3000 block of Eagandale Pl. A resident living in an apartment complex reported a drunken, bloody man was roaming the hallways of the building. Police located the stumbling individual, and learned he became injured when he accidentally broke a glass picture frame.

11:10 p.m.—Police responded to a check welfare call at a restaurant on the 1400 block of Yankee Doodle Rd. The caller told police a female patron at the restaurant was drinking earlier and had passed out in a bathroom stall.

May 9

12:25 p.m.—Police responded to a burglary call on the 600 block of Oxford Rd.

May 10

2:47 p.m.—Police responded to a fight call on the 4500 block of Slater Rd. The caller told police at least 15 teenagers were fighting, and that someone was bleeding from head to toe. Multiple witnesses reported the fight, but many of the kids left the area by the time police arrived. Officers located the victim, and learned the teen had been jumped by a group of girls after getting off the bus.

May 11

3:35 a.m.—Police responded to a fire call on the 4700 block of Narvik Dr. The caller told police there was a fire on the side of his garage. Emergency responders extinguished the fire, and learned it had started in a garbage can left alongside the structure.

8:36 p.m.—Police responded to a shoplifting call on the 1200 block of Promenade Pl. The caller told dispatch that a woman stole 6-8 handbags from the store and left with another male, who was driving the getaway car.

May 12

9:35 a.m.—Police responded to a threats/stalking call on the 4400 block of Cinnamon Ridge Trl. The caller told police a dead bird was left on a patio with a threatening note. The caller told police it wasn't the first threat he or she had received.

3:05 p.m.—Police responded to a burglary on the 4600 block of Kingsbury Dr. The burglar stole a snowblower, but left blood at the scene.

5:38 p.m.—Police and fire crews responded to a fire call on the 1200 block of Redwood Pt. Firefighters put out a small fire that started on an apartment deck and damaged two units.
