Celtic Contemplative Service March 18 at Advent UMC Eagan

Celtic Contemplative Service March 18 at Advent UMC Eagan

Join us Sunday, March 18, at 7pm for our Celtic Contemplative Worship service featuring Dick Hensold, the leading Northumbrian smallpiper in North America. We will share reflective readings and times of quiet with prayer stations. You can expect a touch of St. Patrick’s prayer traditions, but this service will be themed around something that you probably use every day: coffee cups, tea cups, mugs. One of the hallmarks of “Celtic Christianity” is its practice of an everyday sacred kind of spirituality where signs of God are seen in things: a fireplace, tables, foods, and nature. The service will begin with Irish Dance and end with coffee and shortbread.

You are invited to bring a cup or mug from home that you can use for the devotion practice and prayer experiences. If you prefer, we will also have a cup that you can use and take home with you from this worship exercise. We encourage you and your family and friends to come experience this unique worship service.
