Dahiliuk admitted to police that he drank a bottle of Fireball whiskey about two hours before the crash, according to the criminal complaint. He told police he "mixed up the pedals" while driving — hitting the gas pedal instead of the brake pedal — and running into the building, the complaint states.

A preliminary breath test found that he had a BAC of .18, investigators said.
