Eagan Funfest Ambassador Hanna Olson reports in on activities

Ambassador provides her insight on first few weeks.

Hello Eagan, this one of your Eagan Funfest Ambassadors, Hanna Olson, and I’m so excited to share with you the awesome things I’ve already done as an Ambassador over the past few weeks!
First things first, I would like to tell you all about the coronation on July 7th. This was so much fun because it was the first time I really got to interact with all of the Sparkle Section at a coronation this year. The crowning portion of the coronation was very nerve racking for me. My name was called last and I was actually very surprised when I heard my name. The emcees had only called one boy so far and I was really expecting more than one boy to be chosen. As soon as I heard my name called, I was overjoyed. I couldn’t stop smiling because I was so excited for the upcoming year and what was in store for me. But the most exciting part of being selected as an Eagan Funfest Ambassador, was that I would be spending it with my best friend Payton, and four new best friends, Mia, Reese, Avery and Kari.

The first event we went to as Eagan Funfest Ambassadors was the Hopkins Raspberry Festival Royalty Coronation and Ball. I had a lot of fun at this event because I saw so many familiar faces in the Sparkle Section. Payton, Mia and I had fun looking in the program and guessing which candidates would be selected as the princesses and queen to represent Hopkins. I think my favorite part though was the ball because everybody was dancing and we were cheering on Reese in the Miss Congeniality musical chairs. We pretty much forced him into it because he was chosen for the Team Player award at our Eagan Coronation. I had a blast at this event with the other Eagan Ambassadors.

The Rosemount Leprechaun Days Parade was also tons of fun and probably my favorite event so far. When we got there, we set up the float and put all of the decorations on. Then as we were waiting for our float to start moving, we met these two adorable little girls who pretty much adored us and wanted to be just like us when they grew up. I let them try on my sash and they were so cute! I also really liked the parade because I saw a few of my friends waving to me which I thought was really cool.
